Welcome 11SK

This blog lists homework, topics studied in class and upcoming assessments for 11SK maths.

This year we will study for 5 0r 6 achievement standards worth 4 credits each (except Trig which is 3 credits only). For each there will be a practice assessment and an assignment to prepare you for the final assessments as listed below.

These are the topics we are sitting this year:
  • 1.2 Algebra - Apply algebraic procedures in solving problems - assessed as an external in September.
  • 1.3 Patterns & Graphs - Investigate relationships between tables, equations and graphs - assessed as an external during the end of year exams.
  • 1.6 Geometry and Trigonometry - Apply geometric reasoning in solving problems - assessed as an external during the end of year exams.
  • 1.7 Trigonometry - Apply right-angled triangles in solving measurement problems - assessed as an internal during the year.
  • 1.10 Statistics Investigation - Investigate a given multivariate data set using the statistical enquiry cycle - assessed as an internal during the year.
  • 1.12 Statistics and Probability - Demonstrate understanding of chance and data - assessed as an external during the end of year exams.
