Term Three - Week Eight

Rahina: Quadratic patterns - Finding a rule for a quadratic pattern.

Ratu: Applications of quadratics - Applications for both patterns and graphs.

Raapa: Exponential graphs - Drawing a graph by plotting points.

Rapare: Exponential patterns - Finding the rule for an exponential pattern.

Ramere: Revision - Practice assessment for Patterns and Graphs

Homework:

  • Current homework for graphs Nulake pages 128-142
  • Complete Patterns and Graphs assignment
  • Older homework for graphs Nulake pages 70-127
  • Older homework for geometry Nulake pages 152-173
Revision suggestions:
  • Complete practice Patterns & Graphs assessment in Nulake pages 143-152
  • Work through suggested pages in Gamma - especially for application problems.
  • Come to the maths help room or organise a revision session with me!remem
  • Work through any Algebra or Chance and Data stuff in Nulake you didn't finish earlier in the year.
  • This page has last years assessments for Algebra, Chance & Data and Patterns & Graphs including exemplars of student work at an Excellence level.
  • This page has earlier assessments from before the NCEA realignment. 90147 is old Algebra (where a calculator was allowed), 90148 is old Graphs (no patterns or exponentials, but good practice at Excellence level quadratics) and 90194 is old Probability (do not try simulations questions!).
