Term Four - Week One

Rahina: 3D Pythagoras - Finding lengths using Pythagoars in cuboids and pyramids.

Ratu: 3D Trigonometry - Finding angles in 3D situations.

Raapa: 3D Co-ordinates - Using x, y and z axes and finding the distance of a point from the origin.

Rapare: Finding a height - Taking measurements to find the height of an object.

 

Ramere: Bearings - Finding a bearing and using these to solve problems (external only, not in internal).

 

Homework: 

• Ensure you have finished all earlier trig work - pages 175-186
• Continue working through 3D questions in your Gamma book.
• Check out these links which have two sample Trig assessments (1.7A and 1.7B) along with exemplars for different grades for the B assessment.
•  If you have a smart phone continue trying to download the clinometer app.

Internal: This will take place during class spells on Monday 29th (measuring) and Tuesday 30th October.

 

Holiday Session

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that we are having a holiday revision session for anyone who wants extra help with homework or assignments.

This will take place on Wednesday 10th October from 11am. It will go for as long as people are still interested. You are welcome to turn up late or leave early if you need to.
